PRAYERS FOR & WITH MY WIFE

Father, thank you for my wife. Thank you for my kids. Thank you for all the ways you have provided and shone yourself faithful. At times we have depended on you significantly and others we have seemed to forget you. I am sorry for those times that I have not lead my family well. I pray that you will show grace and mercy. I know that our troubles seem small to others and in someways they are when you compare to many in the world that have nothing. Somehow it doesn’t lessen the pain of the trouble we are feel now. It seems relentless, unfair, and shameful. But we know you are a good God. You are a loving Father. And that you care for us deeply. This pain seems to heavy. Or maybe we are too weak. I pray that you would grant us peace. I pray that you would give us clarity. I pray that you would help us to put you at the forefront of our mind each day so that the circumstances of this life will not lead us on an emotional rollercoaster. We are still young and we want to follow your path and your guidance. We want to be examples for our children and bring them up in the way that they should go. We are weary and burdened. Your yoke is easy and light. Help us to lay our burdens down at your feet. We love you and thank you for all you do and pray this in Jesus name.

Father, thank you for yesterday. Thank you for the encouragement my wife received. Thank you for the time she was able to spend with her family and thank you for how well they love her and my kids. I am blessed. Even though I am in the midst of a difficult time and each day seems to bring a new negative circumstance, I am thankful that you have not left us alone. I am thankful that we are able to take our eyes off the circumstances and look to you. Thank you for your word. I know that my view of life has been sour for the last six months. and it has been out right bitter. I know that recently I have been outright bitter. I thank you for your forgiveness and mercy. I pray that you would continue to give my wife the encouragement and fulfillment that I have seen over the last day. I pray that you would continue to strengthen her. Give her peace that she is enough. Give her the courage to stand firm and find her value not by my childish immature whims but from you and who you have created her to be. I am so grateful that she is my wife and that you have gifted her to me. Thank you for my children and I pray that today they would learn one new thing that helps them to become adults that put you at the forefront of their minds. In Jesus name I give praise and ask these things.
