Laying on the couch this morning after my wife left for work i came to the realization that one, sin sucks and two, its pretty much like walking into a spider web that you don\’t see. Probably when i really think about it those are the two things in this world that frustrate me the most and i feel i have absolutely no control over sometimes. Last night sucked because we won and then i did some not husband like things and then my wife got mad at me. That started the frustration and then it just went down hill. Not far but still tripped me up.
Hebrews 12:1 – Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the that race marked out for us.
Have you ever played hide an seek in the woods, or like just ran through just straight forest? I have, and i think its one of the most fun things because you never know whats next or right around the corner. I am processing in my head my own walk/race with God and find the journey very similar. Running through forest at some points can be a challenge. You don\’t know where things are and often times you may trip or even fall. Bigg logs you climb over, weaving in and out of trees, reaching cliffs and hills that at times seem impossible to conquer. Sin is like the fallen limbs you don\’t see and the spider webs that take you by surprise. The devil uses many tactics to try and slow you down, stop or even change directions.
I feel as though there are many different responses to these traps that the devil sets. Strong believers rarely get tripped up and are skilled enough that when they are tripped, they tend to catch them selfs before they face plant. Newer ambitious believers are sometimes easily trapped and fall over the simplest things but sometimes are not. Then those that think that they understand and are cocking….. okay i dont know where i am going with this.
I am searching… I have constantly been hit with spiderwebs and i am growing weary. I hate being tripped up. God help me to strengthen back up and pay attention to pit falls and give me clearer vision.

The fact that there is a struggle for you shows that it's real. So many people have no struggle. They claim Christ, but don't seek him at all, and they have no struggle with that. Your struggle is a sign that your faith is real. So keep fighting. P.S. Candi and I are headed for Ethiopia with you and Katie. I was so freakin stoked to find out that you were going too!
